It is not "defense", but militarism.

Taxpayer money spent on Peace Research in Denmark last year: 0.00 DKK.

NATO has by far more miitary power than the rest of the world combined. In what universe spending more on military will prevent two biggest threats to Denmark:

-climate ecocide,

-risk of nuclear annihilation.

You do understand that "NATO" is the sum of its components? You do understand that you can't be part of a military alliance with the mentality "the others will buy the weapons"?

By your own logic, what can Denmark's money do to fight the risk of nuclear anihilation and "climate ecocide"?

Denmark has the 8th highest military budget in the world per capita.

Army is one of the biggest polluters worldwide, the only one exempted from climate accords, while militarism also diverts money from other more relevant for humanity investments, like almost any other investment is more important.

Multilateral treaties, diplomatic efforts and reciprocal disarmament have been working in the past, but they are based on peace research and peace strategies. Currently, most leaders not only lack competence in the matter of deescalation, but also any vision of the future. Like, what do you exactly want to achieve with all that crap? NATO and Russia alike lack any peace strategy.

Lack of interest and hostility towards words "peace" and "pacifism" in the West are a symptom that the West is not affraid of war and doesn't have any powerful rivals.

Also, it has all more to do with arms sales than any actual security.

You are hilariously deluded. Do you think your pacifism would prevent russia from invading ukraine, china from attacking taiwan, iran from producing terrorist organizations and nuclear weapons?

Delusion is thinking that more nuclear weapons will prevent nuclear disaster or more guns will prevent mass shootings.

Also funny, how you put on the list China that did not attack anybody, but ommitted Israel, US, UK and France that destroyed the whole countries...
